"COMMENDA" OF THE KNIGHTS OF MALTA

This property is a gem of 14th Century history. The house and church were built as a place where the Knights of Malta were known to stop and refresh "body and soul" when on their travels.

There are two buildings, consisting of a 3-story house and a beautiful deconsecrated church. These two buildings total about 780 sq. meters (about 8,400 sq. ft.). The house and church sit on about 7,000 sq. meters of land (about 1.7 acres). About 1/3 of the land is a lovely garden and the rest is an orchard with about 70 olive trees as well as plum, fig and cherry trees.

It is about a one hour drive from Rome, 20 minutes from Viterbo and 15 minutes from the A1 Roma š Firenze Autostrada and the Orte train station.
